Our welfare system is under pressure as expenses rise due to demographic changes over the coming years, but we lack both the financial means and human resources to carry out the work.<\/p>\n

Therefore, it is crucial that we prioritize allocating our financial resources to the areas that genuinely deliver value and welfare to citizens, rather than spending those resources on unnecessary administration.<\/p>\n

We must also dare to invest in the development of new tools, particularly regarding data, digitalization, and artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

This will create a necessary streamlining of public task performance and administration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

  • We must dare to challenge conventional thinking when it comes to development. To a far greater extent, we need to collaborate with private companies to adapt and develop the necessary tools.<\/li>\n
  • As a municipality, we cannot develop the necessary tools ourselves. It takes too long when we have to innovate, and we lack the required competencies, for instance, within digitalization, IT development, and management.<\/li>\n
  • Conversely, municipalities possess the necessary professional domain expertise, which is also an essential element in the development process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    2. Digitalization of the building permit area:<\/strong> There is too long a waiting time for decisions on building permits. We must make greater use of new technology that can speed up the process. In addition to freeing up resources, this will also improve the experience for both citizens and the business community.<\/li>\n
    3. Increased involvement of private companies in task execution: <\/strong>Private companies must be better integrated into task execution to implement new technologies that can make administrative operations more agile. Companies should be invited to submit proposals for IT solutions that can streamline operations and create better service within a given field.<\/li>\n
